MULGRAVE GARDEN CLUB IS GROWING

Hello Everyone! As you may know, the Mulgrave Garden has been something I have been trying to start up and finally, as spring is almost upon us, we are going to start it. The club will run:

EVERY WEDNESDAY AFTER SCHOOL FROM 3:30-5:00 EVERY FRIDAY AT LUNCH. STARTING AS OF WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22ND, 2012. IN ROOM 2030

So, because our lives are so busy, I’ve decided to make it a bit less complicated and just operate it as a drop-in sort of thing. Absolutely no strings attached, and please come as you will and for however long you’d like. It doesn’t have to be long, and it WILL be fun to come out and plant things. Note: This coming Wednesday, we will be shoveling and loosening up the soil. Also, we might start the compost bin (or at least get one established) and stuff like that. After that, the next thing we’ll be doing will be planting onions! (hopefully). ALSO: if anyone has a burning desire to grow something, please come speak to me or e-mail me and we’ll work something out… Besides that, have an amazing week everyone! Namaste! -David C crossd@mulgrave.com

ANTI-BULLYING PINK DAY IS COMING WED FEB 29. This year under the SS leadership of Sophie C G10 and with the MS support of Angie J and Daniela M G9, we are supporting the It Gets Better Project, finding ways to help youth deal with bullying and hard times at high schools across North America. Shirts available for pick up week of Feb 27.

Disclaimer

TMC posts presents a diversity of perspectives and approaches on social good and youth engagement that strive to make the world a better place. The views expressed here do not necessarily represent those of Mulgrave School or me, the blogger, for that matter. The goal of this space is to raise awareness on student life happenings at Mulgrave and beyond, and to provoke positive and critical engagement as 21C global citizens. It is hoped, in true IB fashion, that while youth will explore initiatives or views posted here, they will also question, challenge and reflect further on what they read; they will not simply accept what things as given, but will critically dig in to learn the big picture, including alternative perspectives.
