Now that the year is almost halfway over (where did the time go?) , it’s time to reflect on my CAS commitments.
|Learning how to play the piano||Creativity||Learn how to play piano|
|GameReady Fitness (extracurricular)||Action||Try my hardest- this is an extracurricular activity|
|Volunteering at 3 events (Service Goal)||Service||Volunteer at 3 school events|
|Chess Club||Creativity||Reach the top 4 of the chess ladder|
|Summit 2 Elective||Action||Explore the wilderness while learning about it|
|Trail Cleanup||Service||Help volunteers pull ivy and restore soil at the Dale park (near Lighthouse Park)|
Here’s my reflection on each of them:
Piano: I have learnt more about the piano and how to play it over the year. I’d say I’m doing well.
GameReady: I feel that my fitness level has improved since I started GameReady in July. I’d say I’m doing well. Also, my parents are taking me out of the GameReady program in February so this commitment will be finished in February.
Volunteering: I haven’t volunteered for any events yet. This is something I definitely need to work on.
Chess Club: I visit Chess Club every Monday. I’d say I’m doing well.
Summit 2 Elective: Although I enjoy Summit 2, I feel that I could work harder in it. Summit 2 is embarking on a snowcaving expedition as soon as the weather allows and this is a good opportunity for me to put more effort into summit 2.
Trail Cleanup: I recently helped volunteers pull ivy and shovel soil at the Dale park near Lighthouse Park. It was fun and helped the community. This commitment is complete.
