This weekend was the Peter Pan Theatre production. I have been attending rehearsals since the start of October. The coming to life of this production has been an unbelievable process to see. Around 100 Mulgrave students and parents took part in making this possible and it was thanks to all the hard word and dedication that it was successful. I was a Mermaid named Izzy. Izzy was part of a group of mystical, seductive mermaids that fawned over the Prince of the Sea all day. The two mermaid scenes in the play created a comedic environment and got a lot of laughs from the audience. As mermaids/sirens we sang and danced a song . It was definitely very challenging to perform the dance in mermaid fins as well as singing at the same time. However, a lot of time and effort was put into the dance thus, we had a very successful show as well as lots of fun. Because of all of the extensive practice times I was able to get closer and get to know people that I did not know very well. Thus, I have made strong friendships that spread past my grade which is something that has unmeasurable value.
