Religion Field Trip Reflection

Recently, we went on a religion field trip. There were many things that I enjoyed. I thought it was really interesting to learn about the different religions from a close up view. There were a few thing that I learned. Firstly, in Sikhism if you are baptized, you cannot cut your hair, you have to wear a turban and you cannot eat meats. As well they wear a steel bracelet to symbolize strength. Secondly, in Sikhism, Buddhism and some Jewish synagogues, men and woman are treated as equals. One thing that I did not like was that we ran out of time to visit the Islamic Mosque. Overall, this was a great field trip that taught us a lot.

Hi Jenissa! That sounds like a great experience! It can be suprising to see how little we know about the richness of different religions and cultures around the world. 🙂
