Congratulations to our Sr. Girls Volleyball team who won their match against Collingwood last night in an epic five set match. It was a complete team effort. The player of the match was KK. Go Titans Go!!!
Our Sr. Girls Volleyball team also won the silver medal this weekend at the Carver tournament by winning 5 of their 6 matches. Way to go, Ladies!

Do you really like Outdoor Education? Are you looking for a leadership opportunity that qualifies as a service commitment? I am looking for one or two students who are interested in helping out in Outdoor Education this year! This person(s) would be working with me up to once a week helping with various outdoor ed related tasks. These tasks could range from creating a gear storage system, to helping with planning of different trips, to possibly even participating as a student leader on some of the middle school trips that I coordinate. I am flexible on the time/day that works with your schedule. Please come speak to Ms McTavish if you are interested.
GIRL EMPOWERMENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE. West Point Grey Academy is hosting a unique girl leadership conference in which girls in G11-12 are matched up with mentors. The conference takes place from Nov 19-20th. Two delegates from each ISA school can apply to attend. Registration cost is $125. Poverty and Food Security Conference for Youth: What do we need to know about global food security and poverty? What are some of the solutions the international community should be pursuing and how can one person make a difference? To mark World Food Day and the International Day for the Eradication of poverty, Food for All: A Youth Symposium on Poverty and Food Justice will explore these questions and more. An exciting line-up of speakers delivers short, engaging talks, followed by interactive workshops that link global poverty and food justice issues with local concerns and create an environment to develop plans of action. The daylong event for is geared towards youth 16-30, but anyone with an interest in food security and global poverty is encouraged to attend. The symposium will be held on Saturday, October 15 at UBC. Check-in begins at 8.30am at Hebb Theatre, 2045 East Mall V6T 1Z1. Speak to Mr Wilson if you are interested in attending.
