Hey G7-11s:

“Leadership is everybody’s business” and, once again, it’s that time of year to make leadership your business by applying for a major leadership opportunity in the Upper School next year. This year, rather than write responses to questions on the Google Form application, students applying for G7-12 major student leadership roles for the 2019-2020 school year only need to submit their MY Passport link. The expectation is your Passport posts and reflections which you have completed this year should demonstrate your background, experiences and demonstrated leadership or leadership potential appropriate to the role you have applied for.

You will be asked to submit your MY Passport link in the application form below. If you have been keeping up with your posts and reflections and getting engaged in initiatives across the Passport domains inside or outside school, your application material should already be there for review and no additional work would be required by you. You should make sure any posts in which you reflect on leadership goals, experiences, actions and outcomes are categorized as “leadership” so application review teams can find your Passport leadership material easily. If you have more questions or require some support with using MY Passport as an application for leadership, please come Thu Apr 4 or Thu Apr 11 to 2540 for extra help.

The only areas that next year’s G12s can apply for in this current application package are Athletics, House Leadership, Heads Up and Global Nomads. Additional G12 leadership opportunities such as the Student Board or Grad Committee are shared via a separate application process. Grade 12s applying for a position on one of the major leadership teams need to provide a link to their SEQTA goals and CAS experiences that demonstrate their leadership or leadership potential across the Passport domains. Please speak to Ms Nolan Wood if you have any questions.

Please click the appropriate G7-11 Common Application below to apply for major Upper School student leadership in 2019-2020:

  2. Middle School Leadership Overviews

Please note students can select two leadership options on the Google form application, but the general expectation is that a student should be engaged in no more than one major leadership opportunity. There are also many other kinds of leadership opportunities at Mulgrave and beyond in athletics, arts, service, outdoor education, co-curricular clubs and more. If what you see is not exactly what you’re interested in, please check out other opportunities shared in town halls, assemblies, newsletters, announcements, and via posts on TMC.

If you have any questions about the process, please ask the faculty advisor for the team that you’re applying for or fire me an email. If you require more information about the general leadership application, please contact Antony Wilson, Head of Global Engagement and Service Learning, at

Good luck to all candidates!
