The Foundry North Shore Youth Advisory Council is looking for new members! This is a good volunteer opportunity for any youth 12-24 who are interested in mental health and/or Foundry.

WHAT: The Foundry North Shore Youth Advisory Council (aka YAC) is open to anyone 12-24 who’s interested in mental health, Foundry, and/or just wants to get more involved in these communities and meet other like-minded youth. The council meets twice/month centred on various mental health projects. All work is youth-led – projects can change depending on who’s in the YAC and what they want to work on.The two projects worked on last year included our Community Naloxone Training (where we put together a youth-only training on substance use, harm reduction, and Naloxone) and our Ambassadors project (where we worked on a presentation to formally promote Foundry in the community, including having members talk about their experiences using Foundry services/their mental health journey).

WHEN/WHERE: Meeting times change regularly but for now meetings are held either Wednesday or Thursday, 3:30-5:30pm or 5-7pm.
